Loftware Vision Council: 3 key takeaways for partners

Paul Vogt

VP Partner Strategies

During October, the Loftware Partner team held its Vision Council amongst the beautiful scenery of Lake Bled, Slovenia, with a group of our top partners from across EMEA, and discussed plans and proposals for growing the business in 2024 and beyond.

Jim Bureau, Loftware President & CEO, kicked off proceedings and set out his vision for the move to the cloud. He also outlined the collaborative framework between Loftware and our partners as we strive to meet the demands of enterprise customers together.

As a group, we tackled big topics including how we will meet customers’ demand for remote working, collaborative sharing between multiple workers, the elimination of license keys, old-fashioned service agreements, and the ability to start small and scale up seamlessly.

Read on for three of my key takeaways from the insightful two-day event.

#1 A growing demand for cloud printing. One hot topic was the demand for printing directly from the cloud, and how Loftware supports IoT printing with Zebra, SATO, and Epson. Businesses of all sizes, SMEs included, need to optimize their supply chains to meet a growing demand from their customers, all while mitigating against ongoing disruptions and economic headwinds. Cloud printing helps them to meet these demands.

#2 Enhanced integration capabilities. We covered the growing demand for NiceLabel’s integration toolset, which can connect label printing with virtually any ERP, MES, or WMS solution – leading to a significant reduction in data errors. With Loftware, SMEs can integrate label printing with common systems such as DSI/Cloud Inventory, RFSmart, RFGen, OPAL, Koerber, SAP, Oracle, Infor, Sage, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Netsuite, Acumatica, Priority, and more.

#3 ESG and sustainability. Today’s consumers see themselves as catalysts for change. More of them are intertwining sustainability into their purchase decisions, effectively forcing SMEs to implement and use sustainable business practices that meet or exceed customers’ expectations around environmental, social, and governance (ESG). As they look to meet these needs, SMEs will turn to cloud technology for their label printing operations and gain higher levels of overall supply chain sustainability, improve product traceability, dramatically reduce label errors, and much more.

What feedback did partners provide?

Thank you for your hospitality,” said Maciej Czyrnek from IBCS Poland. “It was good to meet people with so much experience! I see Loftware as the go to company with skilled people on board and clear goals to achieve. Great to be part of this!

“Thank you for an exceptional two days,” added Gert Salzer of Markings Denmark.

“Many thanks for the event and the great discussions we had!,” said Eero Kytölä from Informa, Finland.
